Frequently Asked Questions
For AI mode, yes. AI mode uses SolverNow’s online service, so a Wi-Fi connection is required. We maintain three servers distributed across the globe for fast response times and zero downtime.
Numerical calculator mode works completely offline. You can perform all standard scientific calculations (the same functions as a traditional fx-82 class calculator) at any time, regardless of connectivity.
No. SolverNow is designed for homework, practice, review, and self-study. Use it only where AI assistance is allowed by your teacher, school, or local rules.
The product is a study assistant: it helps you understand methods, check your reasoning, and learn from worked explanations outside restricted settings.
SolverNow runs on SolverCore S3, our own academic reasoning model. It is designed around academic questions, mathematical notation, diagrams, and step-by-step study explanations rather than open-ended chat.
The model is operated through SolverNow’s server infrastructure, so improvements to reasoning and answer formatting can reach every device without changing the hardware.
No. AI mode is powered by SolverCore S3, our own model and service layer for academic study support, so outside AI subscriptions cannot be linked to the device.
Your subscription and device access are managed through SolverNow, including model access, service updates, and LCD-ready response formatting.
SolverNow’s AI mode supports all languages and all academic subjects. Whether your study question is written in English, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, or any other language, the AI can read and respond in kind.
It supports mathematical notation, chemical formulas, physics diagrams, and other common academic symbols.
Yes. If a question benefits from a graphical response — such as plotting a function, sketching a geometric figure, or drawing a statistical chart — the AI will generate it as part of the explanation. The plot is rendered directly on the transflective LCD and can be scrolled to just like text.
SolverNow lets you scroll up and down through the entire explanation using the arrow keys. The AI returns a concise conclusion followed by learning steps, and you can move through them at your own pace. If the question involves a graph or plot, that’s rendered inline as part of the response as well.
Yes, and that’s one of the core design principles. SolverNow receives free over-the-air updates that can improve calculator behavior, fix bugs, and add new features. These updates are automatic, frequent, and typically complete in seconds over Wi-Fi.
On top of that, SolverCore S3 improves server-side. We can refine question understanding, subject handling, answer structure, and graph output without requiring a device firmware update unless the on-device features themselves change.
Start by confirming the Wi-Fi password is correct. SolverNow’s on-device keyboard can be finicky with special characters, so double-check for typos.
If the password is correct, verify that your router is broadcasting on 2.4GHz. The Wi-Fi module connects to 2.4GHz networks; 5GHz-only networks will appear in the list but fail to connect.
Also check if your router has MAC filtering, a captive portal (the kind that shows a login page in a browser), or client isolation enabled. These can all prevent the device from completing the connection. Temporarily disabling these features is the fastest way to diagnose the issue.
Yes, a hotspot works exactly like any other Wi-Fi network. Turn on your hotspot, find it in SolverNow’s Wi-Fi settings, enter the password, and connect.
This is a practical fallback if your usual Wi-Fi is unavailable. Keep in mind that AI queries use a small amount of data per request, so even a limited data plan should handle normal usage without issues.
Yes, SolverNow saves your Wi-Fi credentials so you don’t have to re-enter them every time. You can store multiple networks in the settings menu — for example, your home network, school network, and a hotspot.
When you power the device on, it automatically connects to the strongest known network in range. If you move between locations, it will switch to whichever saved network is available without any manual intervention.
In AI mode with active AI and Wi-Fi use, you can expect up to 12 hours of continuous operation. If you’re using SolverNow purely as a numerical calculator without any network activity, the battery lasts up to 5 days on a single charge.
Charging is done wirelessly. Simply place SolverNow on any Qi-compatible wireless charger and it will charge at up to 8.5W. There are no charging ports, USB sockets, or any openings on the device — the entire enclosure stays sealed, which also helps with durability.
This almost always indicates a low battery. When the lithium battery voltage drops below a safe threshold, the device may power on briefly but cannot sustain the current needed for the display and processor, resulting in flickering, resets, or immediate shutdown.
Place the device on a wireless charger for at least 15–20 minutes before trying again. If the issue persists after a full charge, contact our 24/7 support team for further diagnosis.
Yes. You can try the live demo directly on our website to see how SolverNow handles real practice questions. The demo uses the same AI backend that runs on the device, so the quality of explanations you see online is exactly what you’ll get on the hardware.
If you have a specific type of question you’re curious about — a particular subject, language, or format — feel free to reach out to our support team. We’re happy to run sample queries for you and share the results before you commit to a purchase.
Yes, we ship to most countries. Shipping times vary by region. Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow the delivery progress.
Please note that customs duties and import taxes are determined by your country’s customs authority and are the responsibility of the buyer. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their exact amount.
Yes. We offer 24/7 customer support. Whether you have a connectivity issue, a question about features, or need a replacement, our team is available around the clock.
All SolverNow devices come with a standard manufacturer warranty that covers hardware defects. If your device develops a fault during the warranty period, we will repair or replace it at no extra cost. For exact warranty terms and duration specific to your region, please check your order confirmation or contact support.
Security has been a priority from day one. All online communication uses HTTPS encryption, and SolverNow’s service infrastructure is distributed across multiple regions.
We maintain three servers across different regions to ensure both reliability and low latency. The system is designed for zero downtime, so the service remains available around the clock.
